Laura Mercier Secret undereye Concealer

This isn't my first time buying this product. I tried it a few times but never had any luck.
It would cake and not blend into my skin at all.
But I decided to give this product another chance and experimented with different ways of applying this.

What technique works for me:
1. Apply a moisturizer and Khiels Avocado eye cream
2. warm up the concealer on the back of my hand A LOT
3. apply the concealer on my hand to my undereyes (no more then 2 coats)
4. Use a fluffy brush to apply a translucent powder to set the concealer!
*This concealer is similar in texture to the bobbi brown creamy concealer. But this concealer is more of a salmon/peach color then a yellow tone.

Psst Dry Shampoo

LOVEEEEE this dry shampoo! Its a complete life saver :)
Its cheap, easy and leaves your hair feeling clean and bouncy.

How to use:
1. shake can
2. spray on hair where you feel your hair is greasy
3. leave it for a minute or so
4. brush hair until you can't see the white residue any longer

Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles

I bought this product in the lightest shade and the Neutralizer.
After trying this product for the first time I actually really liked it.
As weeks went on I realized it left a weird appearance under my eyes (even with a moisturizing eye cream). Almost as if it was separating and not staying on.
The coverage was only okay. Nothing special.
The packaging is honestly stupid; its a  unsanitary, spongey top that you twist to get the product out. After several minutes of twisting and waiting, the product finally comes out.
For some reason my applicator broke off and wont properly close now (i lost a lot of product too).
Although I'm not in love with this product, I probably will continue to use it because the coverage is decent.
Pros:
- Available at drugstores
- Has neutralizer and brightener shades
- Decent coverage

Cons:
- Bad applicator/packaging
- weird texture that can separate on the skin

Nyx Super Fat Marker

I'm in LOVE with this eye marker!
Now, I'm somewhat new to this "eye marker" type product, the last one I tried was like 4 years ago and by Physican's Formula. And let me tell you it was a complete fail.
So since sooo many years have past, i decided, why not try this?
I pretty much love NYX products and it wasn't that expensive.
Pros:
-Affordable
-Easy as using a marker!
-Very pigmented
-Long lasting

Cons:
-For some this product may be hard to find if you don't have an Ulta Beauty in your area

This product is great if your like me and love doing winged/cat eyes :)

Revlon 3 Barrel Waver

This waver is awesome! I bought this at target for around $22. The waver gives you really cool waves and intense volume! Its also a nice switch up from a regular curling iron becuase these curls come out way different, almost more beachy/crimpy.

*I reccomend this if you are looking to switch up your look or are tired of regular curls :)

Faux Tan- Bare Escentuals

I always wanted to try this product and luckily my grandmother recently bought this so i decided to try it out! I was quite impressed with this product! It was very easy to apply (i used the mit) and the scent was quite tolerable compared to St.Tropez. The color comes out a nice golden color, not orange at all. I also liked that the bottle it comes in is HUGE and it says that it wont clog your pores.

Pros:

-Easy to apply
-Nice golden color
-Huge bottle of product
-Dries fast
-Wont clog your pores

Cons:
-there is a slight scent

*This product does come with a Kabuki brush but i haven't tried it yet.

I definitely recommend this, i switch between this and St.Tropez but i think i might actually like this better!

St. Tropez Mousse

I recently just got St. Tropez as a gift. I was so excited to try this because i have always heard how amazing it is and how it never streaks and has no scent. When i applied this product i used my hands and applied on clean/exfoliated/shaved skin, as i worked it, i worked very fast because it dries almost instantly. As soon as i was done with my body i noticed how streaky it was! i was very upset. AND it did have a scent after it was fully dried! I even tried apply with gloves but that just made it worse.

SO i went out and bought a tanning mit at Ulta and used that to apply the product. This helped tremendously! I was able to really buff the product in with the mit.

Pros:

- Dries quickly
- Nice golden color
- Lasts a nice amount of time

Cons:
-Has a scent when it if dried
-Tricky to figure out how to apply

I do still use this product now that i have found a way to apply it nicely but i apply it at night now and then shower in the morning and the scent gets washed away and i'm left with a nice natural tan!

Aussie 3 minute deep conditioner

Love this stuff! You can find it pretty much at all drugstores and its extremely affordable! There is a fragrance to this product but its not strong at all.
This stuff makes my hair so soft and manageable. Even to my extremely dry ends.
I try to use this once a week since i have been curling my hair a lot lately.

Frederic Fekkai Shampoo/Conditoner

Naturally I have super thick, coarse and straight hair. My hair is generally in good condition but the ends are always dry no matter what I do. I have tried lots of drugstore and high end products but none seem to help me out! So i thought i would try this product out!

I tried this product after i dyed my hair one day. When i rinsed the dye out of my hair, my hair felt so gross and dry. Almost like straw! I was afraid i really damaged my hair but luckily after using this shampoo/conditioner my hair honestly felt better then before dying it! i would never think this is possible!

*Also whenever my hair dries its really poofy and frizzy but not after using this!

Pros:
-really helps dry hair
-helps your hair color last
-made my hair less frizzy and manageable

Cons:
-expensive!

I'm not sure if this would be too strong for people with thinner hair.

My FAVE fake eye lashes!

These falsies are the best i've ever used! I normally use them in Demi Wispies, Wispies and Luckies :)

Pros:
-Super easy to apply
-Looks natural

Cons:
-Hard to find (i have only seen them at Sally's Beauty Supply Store)
- Might be a little bit more money than the regular ardell lashes

Another brand i also use is the ModLash, they seem to always go on easy too!

Jergen's Natural Glow

Every year around this time, I decide i want to start getting darker. I ALWAYS seem to go for this one because its always in my house and its so fast and easy! But after putting it on, I remember exactly why its filled up to the top and never repurchased....THE SMELL IS AWFUL!
Honestly, I can't even tell you if this product even gives you any color because I've never been able to use it for more than a day. It also leaves my skin super sticky.

Pros:
-Cheap/can be found everywhere
-Easy

Cons:
-Smells really bad
- Sticky
- No noticeable results

Another self tanner i have tried is Nivea's Sunkissed Firming Lotion and I experienced the same exact thing. Except at the beginning the product smells really nice then as it dries on your skin, it starts smelling bad.

**I guess I'm still on the search for a good smelling Self tanner!

Maybelline One by One mascara

This is one mascara I'm so happy I didn't buy!
I tried my friends and it just wasn't my type of mascara. The design of the brush is strange. The wand wiggles, making it hard to really get in there and thicken lashes.
BUT If your looking for a really natural looking mascara this would be ideal for you.
It definitely does live up to its name "One by One", seperating all lashes but for me its just not enough volume.

It's a Ten- Leave in conditoner

What the product claims to do (back of bottle)
Every time i wash my hair, i always use "It's a ten" leave in conditioner. All you have to do is spray some all over wet hair and then use a wide tooth comb to get an even application.
What i like about this product is that it does 10 different things! So i don't have to go out and buy a heat protector or a detangler!
After using this for many months now, i noticed that it does really make a difference on my hairs overall health.

The product is scented kind of perfume-y but after your hair dries you can't smell anything (which is good for me because a lot of scented things give me headaches).
It cost around $13.99- $30.99 depending on what size you want (i have the 4 fl oz). They only sell this brand at certain salons but i did recently see it at Ulta Beauty!

**I did try out Redken's Anti-Snap Leave-in conditioner for a week or 2 but i ended up switching back to "It's a ten" because my hair wasn't feeling as smooth and healthy. It was almost as if the Redken Leave-in conditoner was just was just sitting on my hair making it feel greasy (yuckkk!!).

primer fail- NYX eyeshadow base

I really wanted to like this eye shadow primer by NYX because it was so cheap and all there other products seem to work just fine for me...but it just didn't work for me at all.

I bought it because i ran out of Urban Decay's primer potion (which i like) and didn't feel like spending that much money

I went for the white shade because i liked the idea of having my eye shadow be very vibrant and pigmented. That part was fine. But actually using it for the day, my eye shadow came off so quick (way faster than if i didn't even use a primer), settled into fine lines (and i dont really have any!!) AND made my eyes look oily.

I believe this product didn't work too well because it was too creamy, making it just smeared off

This is one product i wont be buying again!!

blush and bronzer

Orgasm(left) and Laguna(right)
My favorite blush is Orgasm by Nars.
Before buying it, i always heard how it was pretty much flattering on all skintones. That's what really caught my attention. I never understand which colors are flattering for my skin tone or how to choose the right one so i don't look like a clown.

The color is a pinkish/orange color with a really pretty shimmer to it (which is nice because it really warms up your face, giving you a healthy and well rested look!) . Also i like that you can put it on heavier and it still looks really good.
I bought mine at Nordstrom for $26 which is more than i generally want to spend on a blush but it deffinitly is worth it!

*The Orgasm illuminator is also amazing as well :)

For Bronzer, I really like Laguna by Nars. I do have to be careful applying this because i'm so fair and the color can look to heavy for my skintone (NW 20 at MAC). But i would recommend this to people because its a really nice bronze color that doesn't look fake or orangey at all.

I almost forgot to mention that they sell these 2 together!

***Sorry these pictures dont show the products very well, ill try uploading a better pic later!

Favorite brushes and brush cleanser!

These brushes were bought on http://www.crownbrush.com/ .
Dont mind the extra 2 brushes in there and the missing brush!
I guess they were originally only available to professional makeup artists, but now anyone is able to purchase them.
Pros:
-good quality brushes
-affordable ($43.99) for the whole thing
-stylish
-easy to use. Really makes blending so easier and looks better

Cons:
-mine seem to shed easy :(

To clean my brushes i use this MAC brush cleasner.
I really like the cleanser because it:
-cleans and is antibacterial (which is really good if you ever use your brushes on other people)
-cost  $12 at MAC cosmetics

1st post!

Since I have always been interested in all things beauty and fashion, and spend most my money on them, i decided its time to blog about them and let people know my opinons!
I just want everyone to keep in mind that these are my personal opinions so you may think differently. :)
